Happy New Years

Happy New Years to you all! I hope you got to bring it in style, unlike me I got to bring in the New Year at work. It wasn't so bad, we had lots of food & bubbly!

Faith, My God Daughter

Saturday evening Stephanie came our & brought my god daughter,Faith, to visit. She has gotten so big since the last time I saw her. I cooked dinner for Stephanie, Faith, & Patrina. We were hoping to have some friends from my training class at Amex come over that got married but we were unable to locate them. I hope they are having FUN!!!! I just had to post the pictures of Faith eating the corn. I thinking she is teething because she wouldn't let the cob go, & I have the kernals on the floor to prove it. I also gave faith her Christmas presents, of course she is more interested in eating the paper.

Christmas Day

Today we got to finally enjoy our Cristmas morning for the first time since we have been together. I did have to work that night, but I got to enjoy most of it with family. We spent Christmas Eve with my family & Christmas day with Keith's family. I made scarfs for all of Keiths aunts they loved them so much, I even got a modeling from Aunt Kate, scarf with matching coats. I was glad to see they enjoyed they gifts. It seemed to be a long day & then I had to go home to get a few hours of sleep before heading off to work. Fun stuff!!!!

Christmas Eve

Today was a little crazy, I ran around with Nancy & them went home to begin putting everything together for the visitors we were having over that night. So I managed to stay up for a complete 27-28 hours in a row. Nothing new around my house, at least for me. I tend to get busy & then don't have time to lay it down. My cousin Cameron & her family came over along with my mom, Scott & Tara. I just served snack foods & it seem to be a hit. Keith & I racked up good with gifts, just to list a few: Hand made mosaic mirror, Sanford & Son season 1 DVD, Meet the Robinson's DVD, roster stuff for the kitchen,& Autozone gift card. I had a friend from work make Tara a black & white blanket to go in her room, & she LOVED it! I also gave her some cash & money for Disney World In January. I gave mom a new cell phone, saddle pad, flask, & some ornaments for her tree.

Shoppping

This week has been crazy, between work schedule & a baby shower. I haven't had much time to finish my Christmas shopping. Keith has been so wonderful by helping me out with any thing I ask. I gave him a list to go get at the grocery store & he came back with ever thing!! I have been busy wrapping this week & even went to the mall on Friday to get my friends burp clothes embroidered. You know I must really like her in order to go to the mall the last Friday before Christmas!! What in the world was I thinking!?!?! I even went during the day thinking it wouldn't be so bad, but I had to get out fast. I almost cussed out 2 people for ignoring me & not helping me. I just don't understand I am there to buy YOUR merchandise & you don't want to take my MONEY!?!?! So let me think about this I am paying you to treat me like CRAP!?!?! I don't think So!!! You can keep your stuff and ignore the next customer see if they are stupid enough to pay you to treat them like crap!! And on my way I went. I did end up going to Kohls & got a wonderful cashier who was making jokes!! OH my god, where did she come from GIVE HER A RAISE RIGHT NOW!!!!! And that ends my shopping for this week!!!

Pakino

Card night with Keith's family. We try to get together about 1-2 times a year to play Pakino, it's a mix of Bingo & cards. It normally ends up being the Ladies in the kitchen playing & the mens in the living room watching TV & talking about sports. I enjoy having them over because it gives me a chance to catch up with them due to my crazy work schedule.

Cookie Party

I hosted a cookie party at my house today. We had a wonderful turn out & everyone enjoyed themselves. There were so many kids every were, we had the 3 older boys in the nursery & the new baby's in the living room so everyone could watch them. I now know just how much weight my travelling pack in play can hold. There was 3 boys in there together, so I never have to worry if I have big kids. I was surprised with the turnout, Frankie even came!

Sunday was Sydney's christening, she was a wonderful baby! She allowed the Pastor Gavin to hold her & walk up & down the alie so the congregation could see her. Afterwards we went back to Michael & Sarah's house to celebrate. Sydney had pasted out by that time & took at little cat nap. Once she was awake she was the center of attention agin.
Luckily Keith & I met Michael & Sarah for dinner on Friday so I got my loving in then. I knew with both sets of grandparents in the house, there was no way I was going to get to hold her.

Erin's Christmas Party

My girl friend,Erin, from work invited Keith & I to her house Saturday night for a Christmas party. We enjoyed our self's very much. Kevin, Erin's husband, and his friends starting playing music which Keith loved. I got to spend time with some friends & the kids.

Michael & Sydney

This is a close friend from High school Michael. Who I normally call by bother & his beautiful daughter Sydney. Sydney came in to the world on 8/27/07, she tryed to come on her fathers birthday which was on 8/26 but desided to come on mine 8/27. She is getting so big & turned 3 months old in November.

Lynn's Dream House

My close friend Lynn has bought a new House in Brown Summitt. It is a beautiful brick house on 3 acres. She & her husband have been doing remodeling for the past month to change some of the rooms to acomidate her mother. I don't think I have ever seen 3 people so happy to be moving in with each other. This is the Dream House they have been dreaming of for years. Lynn is able to keep her mom there with them & Cody has a huge yard to play in with the dogs & soon to be horse, goat, & kittens. I wish them the best in the new home & will post pictures soon.

Okay, here are the best Christmas lights locations I have found in Greensboro. Keith & I try to go every Friday to see the decorations. Christmas, Christmas Every Where

Keith & I finally started putting up the Christmas decorations around the house. I made Keith go with me to the condo to drag the Christmas stuff up the stairs & into the car. We then had to take them to the house. I can't wait until we can buy a storage building & everything will be in one location, but that is another item on the list for the house. Util we are able to buy one we will be dragging everything back & forth from the condo storage area to the house. Keith desided to go with the blue & white decorations this year. I think it looks beautiful, we placed the tree right infront of our window in the living room so people can see it when they drive by. Slowly the neighborhood is putting up it decoratations. I have been a little disappointed since we have so many kids in the development. I will start putting the decorations on the outside this week. I found live garland at Home Depot to put around the front & back porch. Keith is slowing figuring out I have been slowing building up the colklection of lights for the outside of the house over the past couple of years. Even though we haven't had a house until this year, but it's been helpful on the wallet.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was quick this year, I had to work the night before & the night of Thanksgiving. Keith & I went to his parents house for an early lunch, his mother cooked this year. Normally we go to his grandmothers, but she wasn't up to it this year. Then we followed up at my Aunt's house for my Mom's side of the family. My grandfather got my Nanny out of Evergreens to come have Thanksgiving with us. It was nice to see her, & most of the time she knew who we were.

Biltmore Estates

Nancy,Emery, & I went to Biltmore Estates on Monday. We had a blast, the house was beautiful & had Christmas trees in all the rooms! Emery was so good, he rode well in the car & wasn't to figity in the stroller. You can see the pictures of him in front of the fountain & he is such a happy baby. We did get to a slow start but enjoyed what time we had in Asheville. We are planning on going to Old Salem in December.

Salt Lake City

I was blessed enough to be able to travel with my company, American Express, to Salt Lake City UT. I left in November 2006 & came back home January 2007. It was a great experience at some else's dime :) !!!!! I have posted some pictures I took while I was there. For the first time in years I had a white Christmas!!

Carving Pumpkins

Mom & I got together the Friday before Halloween to carve the pumpkins. Mom gave hers eye brows & ears, I just gave mine ears.

Zoo

Keith & I went to the Zoo on 11/10/07. We had a blast! It was a little cold in the shade, but I kept on going with Keith pushing behind me. One thing I have to say is we got to see a lot of the animals up close. I guess that was due to it wasn't so hot, they actually felt like moving around a lot. I got a lot of wonderful pictures & plan on scrapbooking them somwtime in the next year or so, I am so behind!

Nancy, My Traveling Friend

Nancy is a close friend that I like to travel with. So far we have ventured to Atlanta & plan to go to Biltmore House on Monday. She has a beautiful son named Emery & he goes with us every were. He is the best baby, he doesn't fuse a lot when he is in the car & sleeps through the night at 7 months!!! I hope I am that lucky!

Tara's Licence Plate

I took Tara & her friend to the mall Friday night & on the way back we saw this license plate. I thought it was the best thing I have ever seen. I feel like this is the answer My family & I get from her all the time. She is 14 going on 40, but I can't complain a whole lot she is very adaptable.

Blowing Rock

My mother & I went on a lovely trip to the mountains. She was explaining to me there was this place that was built for horse drawn wagons and would be a great ride. So we decided to take the horses up there to see the fall colors at peak. What a show we got, & we only got lost 3 times on the way there!

Apple, the Best Horse in Town.

My sister's horse Apple died on Thursday, it has been very ruff on the whole family. Apple was the best horse you could ever have and we were lucky to have him for 12 plus years. He always knew how you were feeling & was the best ride in Greensboro. We could put anyone on him, & they had an enjoyable ride.

I remember this one time when I was ridding him with my mom. She decided to go on this new trail we had never been on before, she said it was one of the best around. So I was excited to go on it, I don't think we ever laugh as much as we did on this trail ride. We started on the ride with her leading on her horse Spencer & I was following on Apple. We were going into the woods deeper & we were crossing creeks. We came across this creek that had a bridge on it. My mom's horse wouldn't cross, he kept backing up shaking his head side to side like he was saying NO!!! So she told me to go ahead & take Apple across first. I did and half way across the bridge it broke, Lucky it was low so Apple & I got in the mud & he started to sink. So I jumped off and landed on the other side of the creek. Apple struggled at first but he got across. My mom told me to look for another way to get across back to her. I tied apple to a tree limb & started walking up & down the side of the creek to locate another way across but I couldn't locate one. So my mom said I would have to cross at the same point again. I was very leery because the bridge broke the last time & Apple struggled through the mud. There was one board that ran across the creek that was left from the bridge. I decided I was going to lead Apple across the creek & I was going to walk across the board myself. I encourage Apple to walk through the mud. I began walking the board & pulling Apple by the bridle. Half way across my mom starts laugh so hard she about fell off her horse. I asked her what was so funny & she said to look behind me. There was Apple walking across the board also. If you have ever seen this in a picture on an computer you would swear it wasn't true. For a horse this is hard because they can walk one foot behind the other very well, due to the way they are built. Here is Apple this 1000 pound horse walking across this 4 inch board one foot behind the other like it was no big deal. He was sure he was not getting his toes in the mud again. When I was looking at him laughing my butt off. He was returning the look like what is wrong with you, you can walk across the board why can't I? we made it across the creek & enjoyed the rest of the ride. it was a lovely day & a story to tell everyone. I wish I had a camera to take a picture of him that day it would have been one for the books.

Mom's Birthday

Due to the fall & ugly black boot I was limited to the gifts I could by my mother for her birthday. Fortunately I had bought a few things. My mother wants practical things like: paint thinner, car wash stuff, tire cleaner, & a bath pillow. We tried to take my mom to brunch at Tripps, but her boyfriend decided he was going to pay for there half. He puts cash in the book & my husband puts his credit card in. The Waiter then collects the book & my husband tries to tell him the way it is in the book but he walks off. The Waiter then has to return, asking what the cash is being applied to & what the credit is for. Hello, my husband tried to tell you & you walked off ignoring him. what ever, the meal was great & I went home & went to bed.

Ugly Black Boot

This past week has been a little Crazy!!! First we finally got the condo rented out to a couple & their daughter. Thank god, I thought I was going to have to burn down the building in order to collect the insurance money. Of course I had to ruin the good day by falling in the front yard & tearing part of the ligament that connects to my ankle. Welcome back the big ugly black boot!!

This was a fun event. After the rain we had Friday morning the swing in our front yard had tipped over. That morning I had picked it up with no problems, but that afternoon it was a different story. I had been running errands and came home to unload the car before I had to take Tara shopping for my mom's birthday. I went to pick up the swing & my foot found a hole in the yard. i then proceeded to twist my ankle & fell on my butt. I gradualy moved to the house to look at what I had done. in seeing the swelling I desided to go to the doctor because my brace from previous spills, was at work. I finally made my way to the car & drove to the doctor. To be turn away & told to go to the ER. I had to call my mom to come & take me because I was in so much pain. Of course they didn't offer me any meds, what is the deal with that?!?! I am in pain & crying in your waiting room but you can't even do an x-ray on my ankle? So off to the hospital we go & wait an additional 2 hrs before they tell me I get the boot again & there is nothing they can do but put it in a boot. So again I am limping around wearing the ugly black boot.
